National Night Out is held the 1st Tuesday in August
The Fairfield Police Department, Fire Department, and The City of Fairfield celebrate National Night Out the 1st Tuesday in August. National Night Out is a program designed to promote police/community partnerships and heighten crime prevention awareness to generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts. i.e. Neighborhood Watch.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.
- Heighten crime prevention awareness.
- Generate support for, and participation in, local crime prevention efforts.
- Build connections within the community and get to know your neighbors!
VIPS, you are invited to participate in this year's National Night Out! Our volunteers join our police department employees as they visit our community for a night out against crime! We attend BBQ's, Potlucks, and block parties and have great time with the residents.
This event runs from 5PM-8PM with briefing at 4:45PM at the Pd. You will be partnered with police staff and may need to operate a city vehicle during this event.
