Who We Are
Crime Prevention
The mission of the Fairfield Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit is to foster long-term partnerships between the community and law enforcement to reduce the risk of victimization and strengthen trust within our community. This unit oversees Neighborhood & Business Watch, Crime Free Multi-Housing, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), and the department's community outreach programs.
What We Do
In the CP Unit, volunteers are needed to assist with community projects and collaborations that further the mission to help educate the community through Crime Prevention initiatives. Some of the job duties for the Crime Prevention admin can include:
- Clerical work to support the CP Unit
- Assist with event planning
- Ordering/Restock of Crime Prevention supplies
- Other duties as assigned.
This opportunity is on an as-needed basis. Job opportunities or (shifts) will be posted when available. All assignments will be in the Crime Prevention office at the police station.
