National Night Out

Who We Are

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

What We Do

 

 

The Fairfield Police Department, Fire Department and The City of Fairfield celebrates National Night Out the 1st Tuesday in August. National Night Out is a program designed to strengthen neighborhood spirits and heighten crime prevention awareness to generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts. i.e. Neighborhood Watch. National Night Out is designed to: Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships Heighten crime prevention awareness Generate support for, and participation in, local crime prevention efforts Build connections within the community and get to know your neighbors.

Annually on National Night Out, city department staff and volunteers spend the night visiting registered NNO events from 5-8 PM to show community support.
